Hanover, Pa. - Two York County snack food companies announced Wednesday that they have called off their planned merger.
Snyder’s of Hanover and Utz Quality Foods said the decision came after the two companies received word late last week that the first and second filing had not been cleared by the Federal Trade Commission.
Both companies are located in Hanover and make pretzels, potato chips and other snack foods. Both are privately held, family owned and operated businesses.
