York, Pa. - The York-Adams Metropolitan Medical Response System has announced plans to vaccinate students for the H1N1 virus at seven school districts during the next two weeks.
The schools are Dallastown Area, Upper Adams County, Littlestown Area, Dover Area, Bermudian Springs, Southeastern and Fairfield Area.
YAMMRS began swine flu vaccinations in the Northern York School District on Monday and says the initial efforts have been very successful with approximately 1,200 students vaccinated in a 3-day period.
Based on volunteer and vaccine availability, YAMMRS will continue to randomly select and schedule schools for vaccination. More than 900 individuals have volunteered to assist with vaccination efforts, but additional volunteers are always needed and can register on the YAMMRS Web site,
www.yammrs.org.
YAMMRS initiated the H1N1 vaccine request process with the Pennsylvania Department of Health in mid-September and has received approximately 15 percent of the amount originally requested. Although anticipated, it is not known when additional
H1N1 vaccine will be delivered.

Week of November 9th
Dallastown Area School District (M-F)
Upper Adams County School District (M-W)

Bermudian Springs School District (M-T)
