Harrisburg, Pa. (AP) - Two high-ranking aides to the Republican caucus in the state House of Representatives are leaving their jobs.
A caucus spokesman said Thursday that general counsel Brett Feese retired as of Tuesday, and longtime staffer Al Bowman has put in his resignation, effective in about two weeks.
Feese's wife Gwen says "there's no story" behind her husband's departure, but he wasn't immediately available for comment. Feese is a former state representative from the Williamsport area.
A phone listing for Bowman could not be located.
Both men have been active in campaigns. But House Republican spokesman Steve Miskin says he doesn't know if them leaving House employment has anything to do with Attorney General Tom Corbett's investigation into alleged improper use of state resources for electioneering.
