Prospect Hill, Pa. - In York County today, 162 names were added to a new war memorial.
Friday morning, workers began engraving the names of York County service members who earned any medal of honor while serving our country.
The monument at Prospect Hill, known as "The Court of Valor," will eventually hold the names of 500 people who put their lives on the line.
Greg Miller, director of marketing for the Prospect Hill Cemetery said, "We have a lot of young people right now going in harm's way and losing their lives - but the ones that don't, serving their country for the freedoms we have today."
The monument is made out of a steel beam from the World Trade Center site. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 14.
