East Stroudsburg, Pa. (AP) - Six students at a northeastern Pennsylvania college are facing charges for allegedly being part of a campus drug ring.
Authorities say a raid by the Monroe County Drug Task Force at an off-campus apartment netted thousands of dollars worth of marijuana, cash, handguns and an assault rifle. Investigators say the apartment belongs to M. Eugene Pavitt III, a student at East
Stroudsburg University from Solebury.
Pavitt and five other East Stroudsburg students face felony charges of drug distribution on a university campus. Two other men are also charged.
Pavitt is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail. East Stroudsburg is a state university in the Pocono Mountains.
