Harrisburg, Pa. - Have we seen the worst of the swine flu outbreak or is this just a lull before the number of cases spikes? Either way, the state Department of Health is urging caution.
"Even though the number of cases of H1N1 influenza are declining across the state, we still have higher levels of influenza than we've seen at any time in recent years," said Stacy Kriedeman, a health department spokeswoman.
Kriedeman says there are still many folks who are coming down with the flu and that is not expected to stop in the coming weeks. "We also anticipate that there will be a third wave of this pandemic," she said.
Kriedeman says the best prevention is vaccination, especially for those in the priority groups. Those groups include children, pregnant moms, people with underlying health conditions and health care workers.
