Harrisburg, Pa. - A federal grand jury in Harrisburg has returned indictments charging 15 people with being involved in a conspiracy to distribute hundreds of pounds of marijuana as well as cocaine and crack cocaine in the Chambersburg and Shippensburg area.
Christopher Howell, 26, of Chambersburg; Alan Jaques, 37, of Scotland; Ricardo Preciado-Rodriguez, 33, of Winchester; Gregario Garcia, 22, of Chambersburg; Shea Evans, 27, of Shippensburg; and Charles Wyatt Dunn, 30, of Philadelphia were charged with distributing marijuana and conspiring to distribute marijuana over the last four years, according to U.S. Attorney Dennis Pfannenschmidt.
Howell was also one of eight defendants charged with distributing and conspiring to distribute cocaine. The others were identified as Brandt Lahr, 23, of Shippensburg; Ali June Washabaugh, 20, of Williamsport; Jason Lightner, 32, of Chambersburg; Mike Pearson, 36, of Chambersburg; Brett Doyle, 34, of Orrstown; Lennie Hines, Far Rockaway, NY; Duane Fason, 33, Far Rockaway, NY; and Ruth Miller, 30, of Chambersburg, according to Pfannenschmidt.
Pfannenschmidt said all of the suspects except Washabaugh were taken into custody early yesterday during a series of early morning raids in the Chambersburg/Shippensburg area. Garcia and Preciado-Rodriguez were already in custody.
Howell, Doyle, Hines, Fason and Pearson are all being detained at the Adams County Jail. The clerk of the federal court says others have been released while they await trial.
