East Berlin, Pa. - An Adams County man walking his dog was approached by a robber who demanded his wallet and then shot the animal dead, according to state police in Gettysburg.
Police said 30-year-old Jesse Cabassa, of East Berlin, had been walking his dog outside his residence on Abbottstown Street at around 1:40 a.m. Friday when the incident occurred. Cabassa was not injured.
The unidentified suspect fled the scene immediately after shooting the dog. Adams County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to his arrest.
