What began as just a few kids dancing in a garage in York City a few years ago has now turned into a dancing phenomenon. More than 30 kids from across the city, ranging in ages from six to 21, belong to the dance group called "BT Express." They practice for several hours everyday after school preparing for performances around the mid-state.
They dance in Jose Rodriguez's small garage in the city. Rodriguez helped his two sons start the dance team. "BT Express" stands for Brooklyn Train Express because Rodriguez and his two sons are from Brooklyn.

The members of BT Express call themselves family. They look out for each other. They say being part of the team gives them something to do after school and keeps them motivated.
Rodriguez says "I just want the kids to be away from the negativity from the streets."
In fact in order to be part of the team the kids can't get an "F" on their report cards. It's one of Rodriguez's rules. In fact, he wants everyone to have "B's." The kids say they've been doing much better in school since joining the dance group. They say rather than sitting around after school, they come to dance practice and then do their homework.
Although the kids make due dancing in the small garage, Rodriguez hopes someone will reach out to them to offer them dance space. The garage is cold and the roof leaks when it rains.
Despite that the kids say they have big dreams for their team. They say they want to be on national television.
The group's next performance is next week for a talent show at William Penn High School.
