Weekend Police Chase Ends with Shooting

Upper Frankford Township, Pa. - Charges are expected to be filed against a Carlisle man who led police on a chase that ended with a shooting, police said.
Around 11:30 Saturday night, police say they attempted to stop the man at a DUI checkpoing on Route 11 outside Carlisle.
Instead of stopping, police say the 27-year old man, who has not yet been identified, led police on an 11-mile pursuit into Upper Frankford Township.
The chase ended at the intersection of Grahams Wood and Enola roads.
Police say they fired at the driver after he tried to run over a trooper with his truck.
He was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
There's no word on his condition.
