Halifax, Pa. - State police say a billboard seeking tips in the 19-year-old case of a missing Dauphin County woman has yielded several new pieces of information from the public.
The billboard, placed along Route 225 in Halifax, seeks information in the 1989 disapppearance of Tracy Kroh.
State police spokesman Tpr. Karl Schmidhamer said it's believed the billboard has rekindled an interest in the case.
Kroh was an incoming senior at Halifax High School when she disappeared. The billboard features a photograph from 1989 and a computer-generated drawing of what she might look like today.
Kroh was last seen August 5, 1989 in Millersburg. Four years later, some of her belongings were found near a creek in Washington Township.
Prosecutors said this week they have a suspect in Kroh's disappearance and a working theory about what happened to her, but need the public's help to bring the case full circle.
Anyone with information on Kroh's whereabouts should call state police in Lykens at (717) 362-9544.
Anonymous tips can be made to Dauphin County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-262-3080.
